Roadtrip! (And Other Things)

69.            Go on a road trip at least 4 hours away. July 2012

We visited family in Tennessee a few weeks ago.  I used to go see this family nearly every summer, but it had been a few years since the last visit.  It was a first time visit for Ben and Levi.  It was also the first time I had experienced their renovated home created for entertaining.  8 of us went down to visit.  We had such a wonderful time.  Here are a few of my favorite photos, and a few documenting our time spent.
The first four awesome photos are taken by my wonderful husband.

Playing pool...
Poolside...

Cafe visit where cousin's band played...
Euchre....lots of euchre...
Shrimp Boil...awesome...
Headed home...

In other news...

68.            Build up credit. July 2012
Checked our credit scores the other day, and mission accomplished here.  One step closer to my dream house with a big front porch :)

8.                Find a new job upon moving (Ben). Summer 2012
Realized this wasn't checked off yet, likely because this whole Ben new job thing was kinda messy this summer.  But I am happy to say my talented husband is enjoying his new job as Graduate Architect with Barton Coe Vilimaa in Fort Wayne!

Progress
23.            Try 12 new ice cream recipes (Leitia). (7/12)
Salted Caramel

20.            Read 30 books each. (Ben: 18/30, Leitia: 20/30)
We are kicking butt lately.
Leitia: Radical Homemaker by Shannon Hayes; My So Called Proverbs 31 Life by Sara Horn; The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins; The Underside of Joy by Sere Prince Halverson; Arranged by Catherine McKenzie; Hatchet and The River by Gary Paulson
Ben: To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee; The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins; Heir to the Empire, Spector of the Past and Vision of the Future by Timothy Zahn; Rising Sun by Michael Crichton

I have been impatiently awaiting the second Hunger Games book on hold with the library. Guh I am dying here...it is so tempting to just buy it.  My Little Sis took me to see the movies, and I had to read the book.  Loved it and am eager to get my hands on the next one!
